Ionics only own the rights to that 1 specific image.  Not the image Colin is using.

I'm sure with their aggressive tactics that would love to trademark / copyright every image of a man holding a wfp but that wouldn't be possible, it's too generic.

You're wrong.

Its not a matter of trademarking an image, if they own an image you can't use it without their permission.  And I happen to know that this image :

does belong to them.

How do I know?  Because a mate of mine had one of their systems and asked for some images for sign writing, and this was one of them.  The ionic bloke told him specifically that this is their image, and they paid over £1,200 to have it photographed and no-one can use it without their permission.

This applies not only to ionics, but anyone's image.  You cant just download an image from the interner and use it, it always belongs to someone.

I spoke to the sign writer them he gave me this
To proof and I said the same thing

He said it was fine so if I get any bother hell have
To sort it
keep it simple

I was actually referring to the man holding the pole, not the image so you may be right.

I do know how image ownership and rights work because i have an interest in photography and am a member of a couple forums which discuss it regularly.

Hi Guys,

Great topic!!

If you have images stored elsehwhere such as photobucket just pop the [img] tags around the image url like so (without the gaps!!):

[img ] url here[/ img]

Thanks,

Mitch.
