So my point is, will anyone dare venture a definitive answer to the question is the course worth it? What can it teach us who are already using wfp?

I try not too.  I've made a weak attempt at being a 'spelling and grammer Hitler' before and it didn't work out to well for me or my comprehensive schoolboy education.

And, having been there before, I could see the BWCA post turning out the same way as it did for me.  So I thought I'd lock it.

So come on members who've attended a BWCA course.  Alan has thrown the gauntlet.

It might be a good idea to modify your post title to 'BWCA Course - what did you learn?' or something similar, otherwise there'll be a load of posts agreeing with you or comparing me with Hitler or Mussolini or someone!

I believe it's not cheap a course, and I'm kicking myself I didn't do it for my Resettlement Training when I left the army.  They would've paid for the lot, and paid me at the same time!

Oh, just remembered, I had a conversation with an IRATA trained guy (a Geordie) and he was fairly well paid, working for a company.  He wasn't a window cleaner, but had window cleaned using his IRATA skills, but was paid to do what-ever job requiredabseiling skills. 

He was here in Chepstow pulling the weeds out of cliff faces along the railway line.

I haven't put my photo up, I'm sure you guys are doing well but you look a bit like "The only two window cleaners in the village"  (Little Britain).
dont be so dogmatic about getting the exact answers to your questions..
Do you want rules and paperwork for everything?  Aren't we getting stifled enough?  How about a bit of freedom to do the job the way we want to, if it's safe and it works.  I'm still going after a lot of years, no courses and not one slip....yet!!

Okay, neither of you have went this far, but I'm just preventing a 'flaming' episode where you start picking on each others spelling, business, personal habits and stuff.

But you're both good posters, so cut it out please! 

No escalating the argument because it only ends up in hurt feelings and tears.  It bores others too.

So is the BWCA Course worth the time, effort and cash involved?  Alan has made a good point.  There doesn't seem to be a lot of guys here fighting the BWCA corner; i.e. those who've attended the course.

as a supplier i have thought about coarse for a long time , cant see the benefits , experince comes with time and the making of mistakes , you learn as you go most people who window clean are quite able to work out whats best for them and to be honest will do it there own way anyhow, if our customers want they can come to work with us free of charge for the day or as long as they want to , and many have a gained just enough knowldge to start them in right direction . . we try and give them a varity of work , after that its just a few pointers now and then . allways tell them leave the big poles alone for a while
