van option help please guys
« on: April 23, 2010, 09:14:46 am »
Need a van soon and was wondering what you guys would reccomend me.

Requirements...

3 seater for taking the kids to school
Carry 500L + kit
Mainly residential work so nothing massive

Budget around £2500

What van options do I have ?
Only those who risk going too far will truly know how far they can actually go

This is spot on - do not be swayed from it. They are perfect for 3 seats, 2.5K and a 500L system. I know two husband wife teams who use them with a 650 tank which they "never" fill beyond 550L, another w'c who has part time help. My Doblo is fine with a 400L and a family car but as sole transport the 3 seats of the Scudo/Expert/Despatch are great. Payloads range from 750kg to 900kg I think.
It's a game of three halves!

They actually go up to 1200kg but these are quite rare.

Isn't that the latest shape?

The S reg thru 07 was the shape I was referring to and 2.5K would prolly get something sound between 03 to 06, depending on condition and mileage?

future proof yourself and go larger than you need at the moment.with luck it wont be too long before you need a bigger van and then you will lose out on resale value!

No malc, there is an old shape 1200kg model. Well, that is if the advertised information was correct. I've come across two, both peugeot experts '06.

Bought this  today

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=170474485084&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT

My budget was £2500, experience tells me that you need to allow for things going wrong in the low end of the market .

So it will be 250 to sort the immediate issues , 200 to paint bottom half to mint condition  150 to service .
2 GRAND FOR A MINT RUNNING VAN!

Still have 500 to play with then, so I can get some relly nice signwriting.
I clean carpets
I dry Buildings
