Just been asked to give an estimate to clean an office approx 600 sq ft.

I know prices vary a great deal on here, but I didnt want to go too high as its a new letting agent and may have a fair bit of end of tenancy work for me ??

It depends on if it's empty or has furniture, condition of the carpets, how much soiling/stains, access and parking, normal hours or out of hours.

It's not a large office but you could easily spend a couple of hours there getting your equipment in, setting up, doing the job and getting all the gear back out again.

Based purely on the size I would quote around £ 135.

As Steve says there's 2 hours there just cleaning.
Take into account getting your gear to the area and setting up.
Is there a supply of water handy and is it already hot.
Then price accordingly.
600sq ft is approx 60sq m isn't it, if so I would go for £120.

600sq ft (10.76sq ft = 1sq mtr) assuming it's straight forward (you don't say if it's ground floor or 30 floors up) would be £120-£140 for me dependant on stains. You could offer the option of a maintenance clean also.

Funny enough, just had a phone call from an estate agent wanting there office cleaned, ground floor, good access, been down for 5 years, never cleaned, vacced with a Henry.
He paced it out at 70 sq yd
I put a price of £145 and he thought it was too much - I was not suprised being it was an estate agent  :
I am not holding my breath for a phone call back.

Terry i would go with the 130 odd mark as some of the guys above posted.

Dont just drop the price if they say there will be more work in the pipline as thats what they will tell you and they will want the work done even cheaper mate..

Why dont you go and look at it and see what it needs and then price it. 

How long has the estate agent been in business.  If longer than a week then dont be fooled into giving a low price to secure more work as Id say hes been down this road many times.

I would be around the same price, £130 to £145, but I would approach it by offering a quote of say £160 with a 10/15% discount incentive in good faith of additional work and prompt payment Whenever I have been promised extra work I always stay firm because I have found If I sell myself short to start with it's really difficult to up my rate later on.
