Don't point them my way either, I'd much rather waste £20 down the bookies on a long shot.  ;D
Alan, how about a meet up for a beer, we could drown our sorrows worrying about this professional competion we've got.
If there isn't enough time to do the job right,  how do we find the time to go back and do it again when the customer is not happy ?   Do it right the 1st Time.

My advise...
Go and get a job in McDonalds or something like that because you certainly ARE NOT cut out for the carpet cleaning business, and my 90 year old granny can do that compared to real graft like plumbing and heating installations...
Honestly, carpet cleaning is the easiest job in the world...its not real work...I have never broken out in a sweat and I'm almost 55 now.
I really am trying to get my head round why you think this is difficult.
We do carpet cleaning for free sometimes just as an add on to our plumbing jobs its that easy!!
Oh, and if you think thats grafting...we install a full blown central heating system in a 4 bed house
in one day. Everything...and that included the rip out. And...it is to the highest spec and standards required for inspection by independent surveyors...
You made my day...
......................................................................................
Looks like McDonalds here I come......

Thanks for doing the research Joe. This fella sound like a total Carpetclean Ultra Non Technical

Cheers

Here's another reply ::)

Hi
My granny of 90 could do the job we do. It's only a 10% part of our business. Only complete losers take longer than an hour. That's where you are going wrong. Sell the truck mount..."Rubbish" don't clean as well as Rug Doctors...in fact...amateurs use truckmounts.
We clean 100,000 meters of carpet a month...not with truck mount...we use proper kit...
You are CLEARLY an idiot who has no idea of what they are doing...
When you want to learn something ask us...until then go play with your toys...you obviously know zero about carpets...

Goo luck though...
Hope you do well with your "truck mount"

We take the time and trouble to carry out all your jobs to the highest standard including those little jobs that many plumbers do not want to do! No job is too small and we have a reputation for being one of the most reliable local plumbers in Swindon. We actually do what we say we will.

I tried my hardest today....
did 2 bedrooms (main bedroom size) inc moving not a lot of furniture
2 flights of stairs (3 story house)
small lanidn on top floor
large landing on middle floor.

so not equivalent to a 4 bed house - still short of it.

Took me 2 hours and sweat (mind you, I can sweat at the thought of work. I wear a head band and I squeezed it afterwards and it dripped sweat.
Mind you vacuuming took 30 minutes, maybe their houses dont need vacuuming.

People pay for that job?
I'm clearly doing something very very wrong.
