Fixing the hose to the pole
« on: August 08, 2005, 08:59:16 pm »
I know this may sound daft to all you WFP guys but what is the best way of fixing the hose that goes up to the brush. I have only seen one pole system, the one my mate has but his pipe goes inside the pole. I am using the new triflex 8mm bore tubing and don't fancy drilling that big a hole in my pole, It would create a weak point. How do you attach the tube to the pole on the outside? I have an Unger pole that can go to 33ft if I use all the sections, I will only be using 3 of the 5 sections on most of my work. I will have to fix the tubing in a way that it can reach the brush if I do need to go higher. Help! Dai.

If you make sure the hole is oval you wont have any problems.

I drilled through a Carbon fibre one to create an over the brush flow.

No problems

wheel trim ties or plasticuffs to Tosh...did you ever see "Wacky Races" Tosh?...what was that dog always saying...Mutley..."gimme a medal" ;D ;D
In Para Reg. we were trained to believe in quality not quantity ;)

I`m off down to Herefordshire in September to meet up with a lot of friends who stayed in, did selection and are now senior ranks in the finest of regiments and many of them are highly decorated. The lad whose wedding I am attending...my best mate from 3 Para...now CQMS in Hereford...was recently awarded the Military Cross for an action in Iraq.
I might take along the list of your awards ::) and see what the boys have to say.
I love you other units mate...I really do ;)

To stevie K, Did you ever come across a guy called Kelly from 2 Para. He was provo sergeant in Aldershot? He was with the lot at Goose Green in the Falklands. He is my ex brother in law. A hard man who would never sit with his back to a door, even when in a small rural pub in North Wales.

Dai,
I was in Aldershot with 3 Para just over the road from 2 Para but never really knew many of them. Our Provo was a fella called Kev Darke who was one real hard case... but when I had the peasure of his company for 28 days, he allowed me to be signed out of the guardroom every day because I was on the boxing team and had to train...and he loved boxing...he just never got his head round why we had to wear gloves though ;D
