Off hand Rich I think I use a 75amp/h leisure battery that I got from EK's. UYou can get the charger from somewhere like Halfords aswell. Just ask for a battery charger to suit.

Cheers guys , off the top of my head i reckon i will go for the 85 , if thats what you both use then i reckon that it will be alright for me because i dont suppose it will get laboured half as much as yours, being as im a little bit of a lazy git !

One thing though , how often do you charge the batteries ?
And is it possible to wire the battery to the charging circuit of the van ?
OR IS THIS A BIG NO NO ?

   Cheers   Rich P @ F

Yep I would recommend the 85 amp  ;)

This is directly linked to usage. We used 3 tanks full of water (1500L) and the battery was still strong. We do have a fully charged spare on standby ready to swap over though.  ;)

You can buy split chargers from places like 'Maplins' for £7.99

i've got 85amp and just plug it into the ciggie lighter when driving to jobs, NEVER leave it plugged in, did do once for a couple of hours but luckily no harm done to vehicle battery.
