This is for London/M25 so bear that in mind but we charge; (add VAT to all)

Minimum of £12.50 per hour but only for sites with more than 40 hours per week.
Absolute minimum of £55 for a once a week or less (i.e fortnightly) visit no matter how many hours (even if 1 hour once a week)
Standard rate is £17.50 per hour adjusted for how much we want the site/do we want to work for client etc/how close it is to others etc.
Those are for when operatives can attend without equipment and do not require transport.

Standard rate for when van is required (ie when no cleaning cupboard/facilities onsite) is £22.50 again adjusted according to client/proximity etc.

Some people call us expensive but I dont think so and hey you get what you pay for plus we provide a number of add-ons.

Hope that makes sense and helps in some way.

Thanks Colin,

I really appreciate your help. I'm trying to get few prices on here and few over the phone etc so then i could come to a ficure which i think will be acceptable taking into account what will be our expences etc. So thanks again for your detailed reply.

Hi Dash,

We do many many communal areas. All in and around the Kent area.

Again this is only commercial like stairs, lifts, halls, entrances etc.

Yes I would say that £12.50 mark is about right. Obviously it has to be worth while. We have a call out of £25.00. + vat

We would not go out for £12.50.

It is also a good idea that if there is no place to store the equipment to charge more. As you wont be able to fill the position as easiliy. You need a driver with a vehicle. So as Colin say £17.50mark is again about right.

However, talk to them. If you want the work you may need to lower your price. As long as you are in profit and it worth it that is what counts.

Do you have KEY INSURANCE??????

Just email me if you need info.

PS did you get my last email.

Dave's point re key insurance is so right by the way - especially for communals, a contractor I know lost/had stolen keys from site.  With the presumption that anyone may realise/try the key in that building the agent insisted on lock change and 2 keys for everyone and it was for 88 flats - very expensive!!
