Training
« on: April 05, 2010, 11:31:15 pm »
Hi,

I am in the process of starting up in Domestic Cleaning in Ayrshire (Scotland).  I intend to take staff on from day one, I am looking for some initial training for them.  I have no experience in cleaning (my experience is all in management)  My question, is there anywhere that will do basic training, or is there a pack or DVD I can get and work through it with my employees?

My alternative is to employ a trainer, but I'd rather not have to do that straight away.

Thanks for your help.

Contact BICSc they do training that lasts 1 day. Its very good, but it is designed towards office cleaning. But at the end of the day cleaning a toilet, or chair, desk is the same wether in an office or at home.

The main difference I have found with office to domestic is the carpet is different. We use to do domestic, not anymore. The closest we come to domestic is EOT cleans, Landlords cleans.

I hope this is of some help

all the best
