What bank?
« on: April 05, 2010, 07:51:56 pm »
I need to get out of Natwest sharpish, they've caused me nothing but trouble over the years and I'm sick of their bad advice and sneaky charges.
I'm also tired of their tiny branch with long queues which cost me time and money. >:(

What does everyone suggest as a good move for a small business?

Lloyds would be handy, as there's a big posh branch in my town...any good?

HSBC do free business banking for 18months. They are good! I have had no problems with them. But When my 18months is up i will be changing due to the charges.

Aliance and leister do free business banking all through the post office.

Co-Op free banking through the Post Office, brilliant service if you need to call up.

Alliance & Leicester are free as long as you deposit £1000 in a month and no more than £3000 in cash.

Their online banking is OK. RBS online is better though, but they charge for depositing chqs which is a bit of a nightmare.

I bank with both at present.

As with everything it pays to shop around

That's the reason I was hoping someone would say Barclays or Lloyds.
They've both got big accessable branches with advisers on hand too. Shatwest just tell you to ring a call centre!

Well yeah, but I get about a tenth that amount of cheques, and I don't want higher charges!
