Selling my Landy to fund a new van
« on: July 27, 2005, 12:22:18 pm »
Not sure whether I am allowed to do this, so please be gentle with me Mr. Moderator! In order to fund a new van, tank and shiny new poles (possibly) I need to sell my Land Rover Defender. It is a 300tdi County 90 in metallic red with a white roof. Taxed till 01/06 and mot til 07/06 it has also recently been serviced. It's got steps, worklights, sunroof, alarm/immobiliser etc, etc. It has two sideways facing rear bench seats. I thought I would mention it here because it would be an ideal vehicle for any of you trailer-towing wfp people, you could tow a pretty impressive tank with one of these! The rear load area is chequerplated out which would stop buckets and stuff slithering around and if I get the right offer I'll even throw in a couple of adjustable roof bars...
If you would like to know more give me a shout on 07866 563607

It's in Auto Trader for £6500ono. I also forgot to mention (honest!) that it's done 207000 miles. However I think that could a little high as the speedo reads about 10% high which would bump the mileage up!

Don't be so tight! You can use it for work during the week and rip around the countryside at the weekends in a tax-deductible sort of way.

I could be wrong, but I don't think the mileometer is connected to the speedo.

The speedo's off the gearbox, but don't think the miles are. ???

Ian Giles will know (if he's around), he's fairly good at technical stuff.

As long as it's been serviced regularly mileage won't hurt anyway.
A friend of mine is a Land Rover anorak, and he says they're reliable, it's just that some people think that as they're so robust they can just neglect things like oil and filter changes!
They're still cars...

Anyway, I'm sure it's very nice, but I don't want one! ;)

Roger.
