What do you do when your van equipment fails or your transport is up the spout?

Do you take a hit on your wages?  or do you have back up equipment?

i save an emergency fund up for car/van breakdowns and get the garage to fix it!as for equipment failures im trad so ok for now!i will be putting some extra funds away when i go wfp for new equipment and have a few spares in the van for emergencies! ;) ;D ;D
