cleaning stainless steal extractor fan so it isn't smeary

cleaned an extractor fan the other day which looked a little streaky before cleaning but after i cleaned it (using just water, wet microfibre cloth and a dry glass cloth to buff it) it got much worse and i couldn't seem to get it looking any better.

anything i could try next time to make it look a bit more presentable? i tried astonish hoping perhaps the dirt hadn't been fully removed, and also an eco-friendly stainless cleaner (which i don't think is very good) but neither made the slightest bit of difference.

light smearing of baby oil normally does the trick !

Window cleaner shines up SS, dry with kitchen towel to saok up any dirt or grease.

stainless steel polish - comes in a spray bottle - think its called dazzle.

we used this stuff for a whole milk factory, which has a hell of alot of stainless steel.

we were there over 3 months and this stuff is great - works like baby oil but much better and quicker

that's what i usually use but it wasn't making a difference this time. perhaps the steal was damaged but it appeared to get better slightly in some places after lots of wiping.

will give dazzle a go so thanks for the recommendation.

Use WD-40 shines brilliantly, protects and is easily to get hold of!
I have used WD for years everywhere, it does'nt leave a messy residue as baby oil does!

Nothing quite like baby oil to leave stainless steel or aluminium surfaces smear-free. Just make sure you use a lint-free microfibre cloth to apply the oil.

Vitopan stainless steel cleaner is excellent have used it for years with brilliant results. You must degrease first then apply Vitopan to remove streaks & smears.

Dazzle is great for stainless steel.Brings it  up a treat.
