Hey, it's not the moderators that don't want PMs.  I voted a 'yes'.  Ian_Giles wants 'em too.  We're only Mike Boxhall's 'toys' and act as a human swear filters and anti-flaming devices on his behalf.

sorry guys, i stand corrected i thought it was a joint decission between the mods, but it just goes to show that if we had pm's the mods could have pm'd me earlier and explained that they too want pm's.
unfortunatly as they are only puppets working for mike boxhall their hands are also tied up (excuse the pun)

Mal,

Don't be soft.  Get out in the rain and work!

Many customers don't like it.

What's that got to do with it?  They dislike it more when you drop them.

Well they're not worth it then, are they?

Better off to clean them in the rain when they're not their.

No need to drop them then.

:)

Graham,

why not start a new thread... I'll discuss it there.  However, just a quick last point, NO; ANY CUSTOMER THAT COMPLAINS THAT YOU CLEAN IN THE RAIN ISN'T WORTH IT.  You're the one getting wet to ensure their windows are cleaned, within the agreed timescale.

They're just being tight-fisted moaners.  DROP THEM.  Let them have the window cleaner who they don't see for three months, then turns up twice in a week; who only cleans till he's made £30 and then hits the pub.

There's still a good few of them about.

Going by what you're saying; you don't clean on damp days either, ie when it's not raining but the ground is wet too!

Good footwear (trainers with a good grip will suffice) and don't do the windows above the sloping roofs.

I've an estate with identical houses - all with a bedroom window above the sloping roof.

I used to 'Spiderman' upto the window; but it wasn't safe in any weather condition.  So I stopped doing it.  I never changed the price either.  I never told the customer too.  Only a few have asked me about it and I explained I was stupid for doing them in the first place and I didn't want to do a 'Freddy Flintstone' onto the ground and kill myself.

They're all happy.

Recently changed footware to overcome wet lader problem and had to change back as then slippy after walking on wet grass. Going to have to look at ladders and footware before winter.

Mike
