If that upset her she needs a psychologist not a window cleaner, that is only information she would need to make payment its standard business practice.
Call her a explain its normal to get her information like this.

i got asked for a quote once and the women wouldnt give me her address. i told her to hold the phone up and turn around so i could hear how many windows she had

saying that i get a lot of i was in when u came, when i go collecting,  its amazing how many people dont move or come to the door when u r cleaning there windows, but moan when u come back for the money that they had to stay in for you

i am moving over to SAE, does any one have people claiming that they have posted the cheque that never turns up

I don't bother with sae's. I expect my customers to courier over hard cash within 24 hours of the clean along with a polite letter thanking me for a job well done and offering me and my family free use of their villa in Marbella at a time convienient to myself but to phone them a few days in advance so they can sort out plane tickets.

Has happened to me a few times. We have a computer system which we use to store all chq numbers so they are easily searchable. With chqs it's ok because they can check their bank statement to see if you cashed it.
