VAT Registered
« on: March 05, 2010, 09:00:17 am »
just about to start up on my own, im not sure i quite grasp the VAT registering process and wondered what other window cleaners do.

I know that if your income is £68k than you have to be VAT registered but in general is it a good idea to become vat registered so that i can claim the vat back on purchases for the business and if i do does that mean i have to charge my customers vat for doing their windows?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Thats the bottom line bud...Untill you get to a large size where youre doing lots of commercial work
aim to keep under the VAT threshold..its an additional headache you dont need.Giving 17.5% of your prices to the goverment is no fun  :)
