Do any sole traders have key insurance?
« on: March 03, 2010, 08:48:47 pm »
Evening peeps, on reading the thread about keeping clients keys safe this eve, Im just wondering as a sole trader myself ,do any of you  other sole traders have your clients keys insured?

Im wondering if I should now, although Ive been a key holder for myself for 2 years , and other companies , no probs for 3 years ,so pretty trust myself, Im pretty sure somebody said to me once that if the clients house is insured they would be covered ,but obviously it would be safer if I covered myself...what you reckon ??

Untill now i've never had key insurance but after thinking about how much it would cost me to replace every lock with a min of 4 keys which in our total is around 2890 keys :-[ :-[  1 day you will lose a key and you wish you had key insurance!

Alternately suggest each client use a key safe.

I am really surprised that any of your clients would give you a key without insurance, ....get a quote, you will be surprised how cheap it actually is....
