Not a carpet question New
« on: February 28, 2010, 08:47:07 pm »
I put  some cream ceramic tiles down in the kitchen last year, they were in th sale at B&Q so thought I'd got a good bargain.
Big mistake - they are constantly filthy and just seem to attract dirt and grease.I have tried cleaning with all the supermarket products without much success, they are dirty again a few hours later.
Do any of you guys know of a solution/chemical that is maybe used in CC or hard floor cleaning that might help?

Wayne if these were seconds they may have defective glazing. We come across this on fire jobs a lot. Usually in say a kitchen fire which deposits soot on the upstairs tiled bathroom it usually just wipes off with a high alkaline detergent. But occasionally you just can't budge it totally and when you ask the homeowner they were ivariably bought cheap, probably defects or seconds. I would have a word with B & Q and see what they say.

Prochem ULTRAPAC RENOVATE would be worth a go test in a small area first.
