definatly the way things have gone.
i spent more therefore i am a better window cleaner than you.
looking down their noses at home build. its a tank a pump and a pole, hardly rocket science is it.
"i got a new van the saleman talked me into a top of the range system, i cant use a squegee, i have no work and i am on here asking for help pricing a semi detached house".
but then who do we blame. if you lost your job and had a family to keep safe the sales pitch and bragging onhere could make you think this is easy money. i think the winter has shown that to be untrue.
look at the people who where bleating at losing work in the snow, mostly new people with big investments, none of the old brigade said much because we have seen it before.
we progessed up through the trade and learnt valuable lessons along the way, some on here will not listen to advice as the have spent loads.
now i am not anti newbie we all had to start somewhere and i have learnt from new people as they see the trade through new eyes and we may have become slighlty blind to new thinking.
the round for sale on here at the moment is a prime example, we window cleaners know its priced too high, we would not pay that much, we know that with some leg work we could build a round to match it, but to some one now unemployed the investment could seem like a way to keep his family solvent.
now good luck to the bloke if he gets the cash, ok he seems like an arogant nob, but even more luck to the newbie who buys it he is going to have to learn quick to keep the custies happy or he will lose a lot of his investment.
newbis beware the are people out there trying to take your money, this is the use of forums people will advice you what is good and bad. salesmen and ebay ebooks are just after your cash
