What are you guys charging for commercial jobs

1) extraction
2) bonnet

and do you give lower price as the size of job gets bigger? i.e 100sqm one price 1000sqm cheaper etc.

althought we had some jobs before but i know are prices was hight and we will not be able to get away with it, but i also dont wanna go in too cheap.

Just priced an Audi dealership @ £1.80sq m for 82sq m of small offices, 2 staircases and hallways.
Don't think I would go below £1.50 unless it was a large open area.

well to be honest thats not a bad price, we used to charge about £2.40 and got away with it and that was on jobs sizes from 100-200sqm.

so £180 is a fairly good price, we simply cant afford to do it cheaper than 1.50 but i have read here before that people go as low as £1 and thats what was worrying me

i'm not experienced so not sure about my advice but while your waiting i personally would (if its good work and theres lots of it) give my lowest price, lowest price being where i make good honest money for the work i'm doing, at the end of the day if its not worth it i don't compete, but work without advertising can be done cheaper than normal, just don't cut your throat just to get in there. costs + reasonable hourly rate = good regular income. especially when the phone is quiet.
right, off for a curry. ;)

Prices can vary quite a bit as has already been stated. ie 100 or 1000sqM.

Something you need to make clear from the beginning is whether you are chargeing for the size of the room or the size of the carpet cleaned. For example, an office of 100sqM may have 25% of that covered with fixtures and fittings. As you will be dealing with a third party and not the client, just beware of the potential problem.

For myself, I never give anyone the size or amount of carpet to be cleaned. On both the quotation and invoice, I measure the total room size and will word it something like  "To clean carpets as accessible to Accounts Office     £100.00"

Safe and happy cleaning :)

Thats a good point by ken and i go with that too.

See also how long the job will take you as well.

Maybe give them a small demo.

Also if your doing a l m clean tell them it less disruptive and the only really noise will be a vac :)

Normally id quote at between £1.80 - £2.20 on commercial work depending on the size however, if the areas you are been asked to clean are vast then good money can still be earnt if quoting at £1.00 sqm. Its more than possible to clean 1500sqm in one day if your using bonnet method so if you priced at £1 sqm thats a good days wage.
