Oddest jobs

I was just wondering what the oddest job is that you've ever done.
I think mine was some years ago. I eded up washing the outside of the ice cream man's windscreen in exchange for an ice cream. The kids thought it was hilarious.

I sometimes get asked to do a big mirror in someone's lounge.
But I suppose it's not that odd really...

Last year, a female customer (living with her fiance) asked me to iron the sleeves of her wedding jacket while I was cleaning her windows.
She reckoned being ex-army, I should know how to iron.
I was tempted to put creases down the front and rear of her sleeves (as you do with No 2s (for the ex-army lads here)), but didn't. I just rolled up a towel, stuffed them up the sleeve and ironed them nicely.
I didn't even get a tip!

We were doing the windows of a house a few weeks ago when this lady came running up to me from the next door house and asked me to get rid of a wasp in her loo.
She was desperate to go but was scared of the wasp.

I put a chimney back on for someone once.
Obviously not a bricks and mortar job, but a lead one that wedged in.
Quite a steep roof to scramble about on though.
Got given a fiver.

I think the obvious words when you're cleaning windows of 'do you clean windows' is just some peoples way of starting the conversation of asking for a quote or for you to do their windows.
The oddest conversation I had with a very very wealthy lady on the first clean began with 'what do you do for a living' while cleaning her 8 patio doors followed by 'have you done this before' followed by 'do you have to wear special boots' followed by 'how do you know which bits of the glass need cleaning'.
I went along with the flow so to speak. She didn't have a clue about real life but has been a good customer since and still doesn't know anything outside her life in her house, where her hubby takes her on holiday, and the 'men' that turn up to keep her house and garden looking nice.
Last month she told me about 'boys in baseball shoes and hooded cloaks'.
Sad eh?
She also runs around the inside of the house (mansion) and opens all the windows for us for some obscure reason.
That place is a really odd job but the tea and coffee (plus cream) served in bone china cups with the biscuits plus her innocense of life is somehow refreshing.
Cheers
