Actually yes.  Also it's a dirt cheap way of advertising.

i advertise in shop window cheap at 50p a week
i have 1 shop what has got me over £600 back for £26.00
window and gutters and conys

Not had great success in terms of the amount of phonecalls but the few I have had have been good earners including my biggest paying customer by a country mile.

I think the thing with shop advertising is that :

1) It's V Cheap
2) If you get just one job a month from it, it pays for itself.

I put an card in a shop years ago in an area I had no customers in whatsoever.
Got a call and did the house...then did the friends...then her friends...4 years on i do most of the houses not just in her road but surrounding roads as well...just from one 60p a week card!

I put some in in the village shops. Whilst in there paying saw a lot of people walking past that where stopping and reading them. They seem like they get some good views!

One shop I put on in in town I expect nothing from, But seeing the village ones I feel hopefull.
