Could they be washed in the washing machine?

no way the polish would make a mess of the machine and the buffer pads would lose there rough surface

There used to be a round bucket thing for cleaning buffing pads - it had a round frame inside for drying them . I'm sure our hosts used to sell them before Capital took them over

Same problem here.

I've a load waiting to be cleaned (upto 20").

I've been intending to by any suitable container for a while now. Round would be ideal but as long as the pads fit then any shape will do as long as long / high enough.

If anyone finds a link to a good system them post it here. If not then it's time for the inventing shed to once again be put into service  ???
