'Difficult Windows'
« on: February 13, 2010, 09:38:25 am »
There are many windows in my area that are situated on sharp sloping roofs with plastic guttering at the end. These look difficult to get to on your own- short of clambering up towards them (dangerous). Is pole work the only answer to these ? The leaded ones look even tougher to do on roofs such as these.

Ringo if its too steep to climb on can you put the ladder above the window on the facia it has if so be very careful and clean through the ladder if you know what i mean, if not safe to do so climb up and use a pole, i have got a couple like that and i put shoe protectors on and clean from inside of custy house they dont mind you doing so just be carefull you dont ruin her curtains mate

put ladder above the window if poss and use ladder mitts on the top of ur ladders so u dont mark the upvc/wood.use a ladder stopper and an extension handle on ur T MOP/squeegy to reach easier.failing that use a extension pole but not for leaded!have to give the leaded a miss until u go wfp!
