wfp equipment
« on: January 29, 2010, 08:17:06 pm »
Firstly, Im a traditional window cleaner.

BUT

I plan on quoting some hotels soon, some of which are 3 stories high.

Now, its either get a bog standard wfp or a 6m double ladder  :o

So what i was thinking, is just get bog standard wfp equipment, and use 5gal drums for my water supply. Yes it sounds amatuerish but for the amount of times i will use the wfp its really not worth getting a top of the range system.

I already have a hose reel [domestic use] and obviously i already have 5gal drums.

So what i now need is the water pump, filter system & pole/brush.

Where is the best place to acquire these?

Cheers

they are pure class arent they,im well impressed with it and having a trolley is so much safer not having hose running across paths roads etc,i was talking to someone who sells wfp stuff saying that they sell much more trolleys than van systems and people like them because when its cold you can bring your trolley in and you cant with your van system, meaning trolley system is much better in freezing weather!

I feel it depends on the cash you have to spend on a pole, filter and trolly. I put together a small system with a back pack for just on 300 Quid.

dont you hate lugging the barrels around every where with a trolley system?im going straight for a van and 400lt tank.i think itll be great on my big stand alone accounts! ;).itll probably be only marginally quicker on some of my very compact work but at least ill be able to leave the ladders on the van!

i think i should go straight for a 25 ft SLX to start with.if money is tight after buying my van and system i might try the brodex hydra pole to get me going.im used to trad pole work every day so my arms and shoulders should be able to take the strain!
price higher/work harder!
