Well, had no window cleaning to do today.

I received a phone call from a large house that i leafletted a while ago asking for a price for window & gutter clean.

When she said the name of the house i said 'ill be round in an hour to give a quote'

So i went round, assessed the situation and came up with a price. She then said she only wanted the windows done every 3 month. So i stuck a tenner on the price, making it £50

I then told her the gutters will be £35.

She was happy with the price & i made a start.

2.5 hours later i was £85 pound better off, which she happily paid by cheque.

I went & knocked on a few more doors and picked up another farm house for £12 which took me around 15 mins.

So this morning i was sat at home with nothing to do today, and went out and picked up £97 in no time..... when its good, its good  ;D

Now i laugh at the thought i was working for a firm [electrician] on £11.35 an hour

Excellent Ryan

A good day all round.

Just one quick question.  When you say you did the gutters - do you mean you cleaned them out or just WFPd then and the facia panel?

Cheers
John

sorry, i meant i just cleared them out.

They were old metal gutters, so wouldnt of benefited from a 'wash'

georgeon windows on four sides. one side was 3 level. top level being about 6meters?

Gutters only on two sides. ten meter run each.

Or are you saying i should of tried for £60 for the gutters :D

To be fair, the gutters werent totally full otherwise i would of charged more.

I know this because the rear gutter was on borderline using ladders or other access equipment. So i checked the ladders would reach, which they JUST did with a 4 rung overlap & a microlite [4m double]

cheers
