Got mine yesterday, must be half the size, maybe thats because the people that normally advertise in it realise its not worth it.

Total waste of time and money, even 15 years ago, with exclusive add with FMWC, got about 2 or 3 chavs ringing up when the £1 a week window cleaner hadent turned up.
Used Yellow pages for another business, dry cleaning 15 years ago up untill 2 year ago and did very good, but its finnished and dated and they still ask stupid money

Funny you should say that.

Had 3 enquiries in 2 days.....

Thought it was a wind up. as not had any for 4 months.

I only have a free listing as I try not to spend any money advertising unless I can help it!

Why not get a free listing?

£960 = 5000 views, 62 clicks to our site. not one single job in a year. Thats for a premium listing for North London. got the bloke from yell coming for a meeting this week, can't wait to waste his time as much as he's wasted my money.

Yell.com brings me nothing at all, yellow pages however is great, a steady stream of good quality residential work and commercial too.
Best advise i can give is don't put a big advert in as custy's think your gonna be really expensive.
Good van sign writting is a good source of enquireys too.

Yell.com has worked for us, paid for itself quite quickly to be fair.
We have gone for a nice advert in Yellow Pages next year, and will see where that takes us, looking forward to seeing how we get on.
My plan is to only advertise for 1 year to help get established more, then kick it into touch  ;)
