Fixed Hose Reel?
« on: January 28, 2010, 02:49:47 pm »
Currently use external ports, getting fed up with lumping the hose reel in and out...

Saw a guy today, just whip his pole out, and he was on the glass within seconds, where it takes me a minute or so to get clipped in etc.

Port:

Pro's: lock van, move in any direction.
Con's: time, heavy, falls over sometimes.

Fixed:

Pro's: no set up time, no back ache.
Con's: can't lock back of van (cab is ok).

Can anyone add to that list?

Also, any pics would be nice!

I saw some pics on here yesterday from Vadim (Russian wc)

He had his reels inside the van but had the hoses going through the floor. Not sure how he routes them underneath but perhaps someone else does or maybe he will come on here and explain.

I have a roller shutter on my van and never close it during the day(even when driving most of the time)
I suppose it is how you feel about things and i guess one day i might come a cropper!!In your case cant you put some kind of cat flap in the door and feed the hose through that?
