mine have been great ronnie used them for years what you doing to them

spray with wd40 regular to keep em loose but mine arent bad at all

i see  guy who use  bike locks to hold his ladders on .  the sort that go through a bike wheel  with a chain/strap and a key to open them

ladder clamps are the best IMO.use wd40 every now and then on the threads ronnie and youll have no problems pal!

Hi,

Thule do a ladder system (548), which I think has a ratchet at one end, & I think a clamp at the other, but you need to have special Thule square or aero roof rack bars.

I have a question though, with  those spinning type clamps, are you able to remove the ladder quickly, or do you spend ages spinning up & down the thread? Thet do seem a lot cheaper than Thule.

then, a heavy duty chain & padlock so there secure overnight.

how long have you had them Ronnie,nowdays with modern materials they dont rust,only set i had to bin was because the thread had stripped with my mate overtighting them
