whats the problem wally.

you dont think it adds up?

of coarse i wasnt better off on ladders .it just feels like it.

 why would i say otherwise?

thx ian ,as i said my best yre yet

Since the tax system changed to self assesment/payments on account, it is possible to get caught out very badly if you have a big jump in profit from one year to the next - particularly on the January payment.  It would be helpful if the taxman allowed you to spread the payment on account over the two payment dates of Jan31 and Jul31.

I don't understand why everyone is shocked by their Jan bill. I knew last July what mine would be. How come you only just found out?
It's not like it's just dropped through the letterbox today. Even the tax man told me what he wanted months ago.

Even with self assesment most should know the ballpark figure that they expect to pay.

I think its more to do with people bragging about their earnings. Either that or a bit thick not to know roughly what you will pay.

If you're payng VAT you will be charging your customers that.

Stop bloody moaning, if you have it in the bank then fine, pay the HMRC; if you dont have it in the bank, why not? You have received the money in payment for work done.

I had my tax bill, its like my fuel bill, I allow for it.

If £200 a day is £50K then £130,000 a year is £520 a day. Somehow, just somehow...

i have modified my pages as i can not be bothered with the negative ,cynical replys of some of you guys.

i am not telling porkys .simply said the way it is .
there are plenty of wc buisnesses that turn over more than 130000 and plenty who make more thani do.
yes ,i knew more or less what my tax would be .but was just making the point of how much tax we pay.

any one who doubts me is welcome to visit and ill show how i do it.
it seems that some of you think of wc as less of a buisness than it is.
    who r the wallys

but thankyou to you guys who saw the post as it was .
