We now sell goose necks/light brush that retrofit most poles, these screw internally into the ally collar (provided) so can be removed making way for a normal plastic angle neck which fits the extrernal thread of the ally collar, so giving you the choice rather than committing one of your poles to a goose neck.

I like the gooseneck as it's brilliant for getting over window boxes.

I use 2 or even 3 plastic angles and that gets me into all places and it cheaper than a goose neck.

I've used both and if it's one or the other then I have to say angle adapter, the goosenecks are no good for going over conny roofs.  Angle adapter with a swivel for me, gives you the extra depth to get across the ledges.

have made several with extentions to get over/around obstructions .

found the goose neck to be a hassle by not being quite angled or long enough
