buisness acount

when i get started on wc will i need a buisness acount, or can i just use my acount i have now? cheers guys :)

just use a normal account but dont tell the bank its for business! :P

it's better for you to separate your life from your business.

Abbey and others are free.You have time on your hands to open one, which you wont have later.Put the name on it you will call your biz for cheques etc, so you probably need to decide on a name, assuming you aren't going to use your own.

If you really dont want a biz account open another current account.

I agree with the above allways best to keep things seprate for your records and the tax nan point of view.

Also alliance Leicester also do free banking as far ad I am aware

ITs not by law that we need a business account. Just put on you paper work. P James ( in small) Trading as WINDOW SURE CLEANERS the all cheques made out to then P James.

I have two personal accounts and HSBC know I am using one for business.
They have pulled me up over it a couple of times and I just say "OK, I will open an account in another bank". They always back down and leave things as they stand.

Whats the driffernts beween a normal account and a bussness account then? whats the down side, cos most are saying use a normal account if i can etc. Is it costlly etc ? 8)

3+ years ago when I started up on my own I went to Business Link for a seminar on being self employed, the main bloke there told us all that we should just use a current account, I've not had any problems using one for the last 3 years, was told by sister in law who works for the same bank that I'd have to put 100s of cheques through a week before they even questioned it, and if they did just tell them you sell on Ebay a lot ;D
