Hey everyone,

I’m wanting for our business to use only eco-friendly chemicals this year. But I don’t know where to start. I am not so familiar with the products, especially the once you can buy in bulk etc.

any advice would be appreciated.

Although I've not tried it myself, for Carpet Cleaning, Apparently M Power is the mutts!!!!! Altough it's nearly £70 for 5 litres (Please don't quote me on that price!)

I offer "Eco Friendly" cleaning especially, as a lot of villages around here have septic tanks.... So it's important that Eco Friendly products are used!!!

Hi Dash

I can recommend my supplier www.nenviro.com  Products I use from them that I would recommend:

Washroom Cleaner - smells nice and you can use it around the house as well as in bathrooms
Anti Bac/Degreaser - great in kitchens and around the house, leaves no residue
Organic Descaler - we have bad limescale in our area and this works pretty well

If you speak to Simon he is really helpful and will tell you which products will replace the ones you use already.

We are not too bad, it's been steady down here, what about you. Did bad weather have an effect on your business?

I'm pleasantly surprised that, i can actually save money on eco products, i thought they will be more. have you found any change in your customers since you started to offer eco products? i guess what i am saying do you get less price shoppers etc.

The snow cost me about £500 the first week back  I've subsequently changed my terms and conditions so that if we can't get to a customers house because of the weather then they will still be charged as normal but we will make the hours up later (cheaper to make the hours up later than to pay staff for hours not worked and keeps cashflow going).  Probably won't snow again for 10 years lol

However, the phones getting busy again so hopefully another good year.

Re eco products, I think people like the idea of it and certainly some customers with allergies have phoned us because of it, but generally I think most people just want a clean house and don't care how you do it.  However, people are attracted to ethical people and businesses so although I'm not convinced they will pay extra for it, it definitely generates leads.  And its far healthier for us to use too!

I am going to be surveying my customers over the next few weeks and it will be one of the questions how important that is to them so I'll let you know the outcome.

Hello again,

I am really sorry to hear that you have lost such amount of money due to the weather. I think its good that you put it in your contract, as i heard is not the end to snow just yet, apparently it's predicted to be very simular weather in a month or so. I cant say we have been effected as much, but phone has been quiet, i'm hoping it will pick up soon.

I'm introducing new strategy to our business, as i have big plans this year, i want to take business to a different level. Thats why i was asking about if you have noticed change in customers, as i am quiet frankly fed up with too many time wasters and price shoppers.

So i was hoping, by implementing new greener strategy it will give us a whole new range of customers, as well as like you have said its much safer for us to use.
