My DIY trolley is still doing the business after more than 3 years, it does everything I want from it, even letting me stand on it to unlock gates.
I really don't need a van mount.
I can't post a picture as it says the upload folder is full and I don't know how to resize the image

What, so that's not an Ionics system behind the buggy then?

hey Dave,

you seen how many hits this topic has?
Bet Ironics woudnt mind as many on their site!

Peeps are taking the pikey, but .....

Have to say first impressions are "what the * is that?"
Then with a bit more thinking I came to the conclusion "why not?"
I posted a long time ago about a member who runs a van worth about £400 and a trolley system based on a sack truck and compared him with a brand new van system worth £25k- £30k and asked "who's got his head screwed on?" Remember both units are capable of the same work.

After a month of no work for some on here I know which one made more sense.  ;)

They seem to be built well. Tough suspension, good alloy wheels, disc brakes all round, hydraulic clutch.
And what really appeals to me over a van is everything is accessible maintenance wise & it's all "old technology". ie, stuff I understand.
This one was 2nd hand from a local taxi driver who bought it on a whim & only did 300 miles in 18 months!

The trailer looks like it could do with tidying up a bit. But apart from that, it looks brilliant.

It's economical to run and you only ever do 30 mph or less through the town anyway, so it's perfectly suited to your needs.

Could you get some side-plates made up for the trailer that you could put some sign writing on?

On another tack, would it be possible to heat up the water at home and make insulating jackets for the cans? That way you could remove the heater and save complication and weight.

Nice to have positive input!

You're totally right about the trailer. Gonna eventually have stainless side pieces with the firms details lasered through.

The L5 don't normally go on this trailer but as the quad had been nicked on Monday, it was a rush jib fitting it. Still it worked well.

If we get some sun this week, I'll take some more pics now that the heaters back on the quad trailer. ( got it back!)

it does look tidied in the flesh.

Cheers, kevin.
