All this time off
« on: January 14, 2010, 12:35:12 pm »
I know lots are suffering at this time with the weather but in a funny way I am enjoying this time off....

But the time I get back to work...I will not have worked for 6 weeks...(except a couple of days for around 400quid). I have enjoyed it when I got my mind around to the fact that there is not alot I can do about it...

So hopefully we'll start to see some normal average temps in the next 10 days or so then I'll hopefully be le to work again.

But given enough planning I'm hoping to replicate this time off every year...

I think my opinion of what type of rain I work in will change though....

Has this time off made you think differently about how you work and will it make you take some different approaches to your work?

Cheers
Dave.

i came to terms with the snow fairly quickly, you cannot do anything about it, so just enjoy it, i was lucky in that i had my 2 girls to enjoy it with, we did loads of sledging and had a great time, i can cope with missing work if i can spend quality family time

we have very little snow here and we might aswell make the most of it  ;D

I haven't enjoyed being off work for so long, but I suppose I've kept myself busy like watching the Cricket, cleaning my oven, painting bedroom, shopping, and ordering new stuff for my work. Oh and also having the time to put my books in place for taxman.
I can't wait for tomorrow now though when hopefully I'll be starting my first full days work since before chrimbo.

Not really Dave, but, Feb is normaly a bad month because of the tempretures we get. Will get alot done in the next 7 or 8 days, so should be OK for getting through Feb. Get lots of sympathy from custies lately though, that's good. ;) Lots of "Awww, poor sods" and lots of tea off the Brits. ;D ;D ;D
