Those of you with them - what's the highest you have used them with an unsupported pole?
I believe they can be used at 48' with their aluminium poles.
Anyone use one regularly at that height?

have done five floors with SL extensions, used to have the aluminium poles supplied by omni vac but they are extremely heavy for sustained work at that height unless you can work vertically all day as opposed to having to "tilt" the poles sometimes to get the right angle.... the clamps that are supplied with omni vac (unless they have changed them) are next to useless especially when raining, they are basically just jubilee clips.

Buy a triple motor vac (same as omni supply from dual pumps) get the poles from gardiners and then buy a stihl gutter kit to get a very light weight u bend at the top of the pole, save yourself cart loads of agro and a nice few quid.

cameras are available from http://www.dogcamsport.co.uk/ ask for Ed. The best customer service I have received anywhere.

hope this helps

I have the kit with Superlight and often clean to three storeys. Customer has just phoned for a five storey clean. It's four storeys really but I would estimate it at 50'
Would probably need another four S2 sections to reach (I have five at the moment).
Don't want to spend £400 on more sections if It's too high to handle. By the sound of your post it should be feasable thanks.

Hi Rod,

That is`nt the standard pole you are using with the up-keeper, so can you tell me what it is and what are the adaptors you have used. Do you not use the standard one?

I use the standard one for ground and first but that pole is from omnipole. I already had 2.5 inch tubing as an extra and there is only a slight gap between the collar and the pole which I just gaffer up!

About 45 - 50 feet. It's 48ft of tubing, allowing for overlaps on the joins it must be nearer 50.

I use this machine on half throttle when the aluminium tubes are fitted.

Do you suffer with many blockages with the Stihl gutter kit?

Yikes! Customer is as keen as mustard and wants to come and watch me clean the office block. Prefer not to have an audience really as it's about fifty feet and haven't had to go that high before. looks like Gardiners will be getting my hard earned cash any day soon  :'(

no more than i did with the flexi u bend and clamps but the added bonus of the stihl is that it comes in two parts ( a quarter tun each part) and is very easy to seperate if you need to clean it

also in the stihl kit you a funnel type shaped piece of plastic which makes a great part to use to get the hose into the vac itself.

the stihl kit is well worth the money

Yes, I found that site too. Don't suppose you know off hand what the internal/external diameter of the head is?
I use 38mm pipe at the moment 'cos it fits neatly inside a superlight tube. I figure the best thing to do would be to eliminate the top bend and clamps I have on the end of my pole and fit a nozzle similar to omnipoles alluminium version to keep the weight as close to the pole as possible. My version is like Omipoles from last year (same as MrH's post on here but with the smaller diameter tube) and can feel a little unbalanced at times.
