How do I block off my outlet (flush)
« on: January 12, 2010, 07:03:59 pm »
Hi guys, I bought myself a nice little 125ltr tank from Wintecs yesterday. It fits perfectly in the boot of my wifes 4x4, the problem is that the outlet is on the side of the tank, and as the tank fits perfectly I can't use it... so I want to block it off, but I can't find anything that will block the hole flush with the side of the tank (it must be flush as there is no more than a millimetre either side) its a 25mm outlet, any ideas?  ???

According to Wintecs site its a 3/4" outlet.
This is a 3/4" blanking plug but may stick out a few mm more than you need ???

Sorry yes its a 3/4" outlet, Unfortunately the plug is no good as it protrudes out too far. It needs to be flushed with the tank

I think the bungs would work but I would a glue called: Serious Glue from B& Q on it as well as bung its water proof. I use it on my static tank and had great reasult.I fitted a damaged thread on a tap that always leaked. Worked a charm. It even works in icey weather.
