Why doesn't it exist?
« on: June 17, 2005, 09:29:52 pm »
There are van mounted systems a plenty, & 50-70 ltr. trolleys. Then there are the back packs which are still just doctored crop sprayers. Finally, more & more window cleaners are building there own 25 ltr. trolleys & I can well understand why.
My question is why do none of the company's produce such a product.  There's an army of window cleaners out there with their ladders a top their battered old Vauxall Cavaliers. I should know. I sub to a few of them!. Why can't I buy anything purpose made to fit in such a vehicle. I'm talking a small unit, like a Cleantech or Omnipole back pack, but probably a bit bigger capacity, on wheels. Something that could stand up in front of the back seat. That way, with a few cans in the boot & a pole on the roof rack, even the most tentative & skint window cleaner could get in to water fed pole window cleaning regardless of what he drives.
Onwards and Upwards...

Simon,

That set-up you describe sounds good to me, but there's an industrious guy here, I can't remember who though, that has built a 'carrier' on the rear of his vehicle so that he can transport his home made system up-right.

It looks the 'dogs proverbials'.  Apparantly extremely easy to hook on and off.  He just bungies a number plate onto it.
