Us three year olds seem to have jumped on the best wave.

The longer serving guys were a bit set on their ways, and the newbs have had to feast on our leftovers.

We were lucky that the bulk of good tech came along with us, we can't claim credit for some of the great poles that have popped up just when we were ready to buy, but it's easy to see how fifteen- twenty-and ten year guys could spend hundreds and get crepe poles and be discouraged.

An example, a guy near me has been going twenty years.The inside of his van is brilliantly thought out, so i know he's not stupid and has a good business.But he has one pole a 34'hybrid thats a brick and he uses it for everything.(he does a lot of trad and employs). Very nice man and not direct comp to me, but in biz terms i wipe the floor with him.The difference is the money i have wasted on kit and the fact that i don't care.

My dad  started the business in 1950! (not really ) ....he started in 1985 so I started working for him from leaving school (1998) But got my own work from 2003 onward. Been using WFP  2 1/2 years.

11 years 7 months with a big gap in between when I had to give up working owing to a severe illness.

Independence is something that's taken for granted but when it's taken away from you owing to severe illness it makes you realise how important health, happiness and life is.

Window cleaning allows me to work flexible hours around my illness, whilst earning a  decent income as a part timer to pay my bills and live reasonably comfortable.
