Oven Cleaning
« on: December 19, 2009, 03:18:34 pm »
I was in Maidstone today, and i was following a van that does Oven cleaning, and on the back it said 'Ovens cleaned within 2 hrs to showroom condition' just wondered if anybody else say this, and if so do you get customers saying you havent got it to showroom condition like you said?  Bit of a bold statement if you ask me.

I say to 'near' showroom condition ;)

I explain to the customer how good i will get it before i start job.

Some people expect a cooker thats 10 years old and never been touched to be like 'new' ???

I have had the comment that an oven looks brand new when I've cleaned a 10 year old oven. The last one was on Wednesday. The secret to the shine is....... Well, it's a secret ;D

I cleaned one the other day that had burnt on food (Carbon) for 5 years+, and the customer had been trying for years to get it off.... I must admit that I managed to use 10-12 razor blades to achieve the desired result... :o

Minimum Charge £40..... Average spend's usually £50. It's not as lucrative as Carpet Cleaning admittedly, but it's not as expnsive to run I suppose...

Single Oven £30
Top Oven £15
Racks/Shelves £2 each
Hobs £15
Bulbs £4  :o

Sorry Len but no. I see you've tried on here though..... Is there not an "Ovenu" franchisee in that area?

Or try http://www.ovenwizards.com/oven-cleaning/Dartford/?source=GooglePPCDartford

I wouldn't be too consumed whether they are members of TAAOC or not to be honest. "Ovenu" or "Oven Wizard" are just as good if not better. The the only difficult part of the job is taking the oven to bits and splitting the doors to get at the inner glass. It's nowhere as near as complex as carpet cleaning.

Nah dont worry about that mate. TAAOC is made up by the oven cleaning company - if you do their course then you can join, not worth the paper it is written on, means nothing. Ovenu, Oven Clean etc were around before them mate.

Regarding the question were we busy in December ? YES is the answer , we were fully booked for the 3 weeks running up to Xmas , mainly Oven Cleaning.
Even had to turn work away  :'(

Lets hope January is the same  ;D
