do the section come apart? trying to decide which length to buy.

Someone said on here a little while ago the sections do, As there was mention of cutting each one down to make it a shorter closed size.

I was thinking about doing that, good price too, but a couple on here reckon they are generally crap poles???

Did hear that , But from what I remember that was based on the closed length and weight.

Which would obviously be altered if cut.

31ft only 6’3” collapsed – (7-section) £155 + vat

Lop a foot off each section and you'll still get a 24ft pole and 5ft 3in collapsed and about 2.2kg weight.
How rigid is it though I've got a SLX now, and love the rigidity of it but Gardiners only have the 30ft in stock and I aint paying £471.50 for that

pretty rigid used 18ft today for first time really impressed nice and light ploe hose is to thick and heavy worked in rain all day and no problems at all with dirt and grit though it will outlast the the xtel hybrid by far i rekon and 3 year warranty £125 +vat+ delivery got mine in 2 days will be ordering 25 ft this week

not used an slx but why pay for slx when you can get an 18ft and 25ft for £275.00 total price for both  with a 3 year warranty , I am going to change pole hose on both poles 18ft will get clear hose from old pole and 25ft will get streamline lite-5 will reduce overall weight

I have a 30ft slx and have to say it is as lite if not lighter than a 17ft xtel pole with a vikan brush. it is rigid so much so I can hold out side ways and clean at 25ft, I cant do this with a hybrid or a gf xtel...

The slx now the clamps are changed works alot better, I had mine refubed by alex after about a month or twos use, got new clamps and butt cap free, it is working a treat now.

Wish I had a brodex pole to comapare with, if they were good I would change all my pole to them.

I have a brush from them, cant use it as jets will not fit my pole hose : if brodex would like to send a pole to me to test out, feel free 17ft or 30ft  you have my details as you have give stuff to me.

Was just asking as to a comparison, it's the stiffness that impresses me with the SLX, don't want to end up with something that bends like my old xtel

hopefully i will get 25ft this week and let you on this but i have no problems with 18 ft been bendy held out to the side as well cleaning above conny roofs from side  alot better than x-tel hybrid

This is for the anyone who owns one of the Hydra Alloy Poles!

I've tried phoning Brodex (no answer) so have emailed them but as yet no reply, Im sure they'll get back to me but I'm pretty impatient

I was interested in buying one of these as an occasional use pole but was put off by the closed length of the pole - BUT I have been confusing the difference between closed length and section length.

Can anybody let me know what the section length is on what sized pole!

why would the collapsed pole length put you off 6ft is is pretty much standard the slx is the most compact of all i find the 18ft brodex alloy very compact and easy to use

got my 18ft hydro yesterday and used it 2day found it great .will be buying a 25ft in the new yr.as its priced well and very sturdy

I was looking at the 36' pole which is 6' 11" - and as I said I was confusing the collapsed length with the section length, which would make it a pretty poor pole!!

Back to my actual question, can anybody tell me the length of the base section including clamp on the 25', 31' & 36'?

Sounds like a good pole to cut down. would be interested to hear from anyone who has both the hydra alloy & slx?
