I was going to post a minger I cleaned yesterday, but they couldn`t find bulbs to put in the light, so when I finished, the door was open and street light was streaming in..

Prespray gold and Extracta C2 superchem would have ripped through that one.
Thats not even close to a minger, you have to throw away the rule book sometimes and just use what you know works.

FREEMANSCLEANING

Cable tie's instead of the gaffa tape for the hoses. Much more attractive and gives the hose's more flexablity.

haha, i wish it was. i'm not sure why it looks gold plated, may be because we did the job very late at night and all lights was on, so it could be reflection of the lights and the flash from the camera too  ??? if you see the hallway picture underneath is the same carpet just one of the pictires was taken when it was faily light and other closer to the end of the job arround 8 pm.

Even better..... Neither! But if you really have to tie the 2 together, the gaffa tape does look a tad, "Pikeyish" ;D

Using cable ties, imo  is asking for trouble , if you are not too carful, they can ,if they have been clipped catch materials and scratch floors

Its not too bad having 25' of 1.5" hose fastened together, but that can be a fight at times - the "natural" curling of the 2 types of hoses are different.
You want to try it with 50' of 2" hose!

Even when I had 1.5" hose, in the end I unfastened them and life got easier.

and thats a good point Geoff has just made.

On second thoughts,

you could use tie clips  , then simply wrap gaffer tape around to stop any accidents   ;) ;) ;D

Geoff.
ps. I must be a genius :)

Be honest, you bought them a new carpet didn't you?

Seriously, what did you use on that?

I used plenty of Mulit Pro agitated then rinsed with Fibre & Fabric, don't think i would have got as good result with my portable? The owners did say they were going to replace, so i asked if i could give it a bash. I surprised myself, and they were over the moon. :D
