I get about 22mpg from my 3 year old auto, can get 26mpg on a run

Higher mileage ones go bang and the engines are like rocking horse poo for this reason - if you could find an engine theres one in the barn on the farm

its got 40,000 on a 56 plate my merc has 99,000 on a 56 plate? wat do you suggest???
