Do you have to declare it?  I mean, the wine's easy - just drink it in the van on the way home and noone will ever know (unless you kill them, obviously).

I usually get no more than £10 of goods, and that's it! ;D  I wouldn't encourage it either.

A local cafe has a 'Staff Xmas Box' on the counter which I think is a bloody cheek.  Just think if we went around with a cardboard box wrapping xmas paper 'for the staff'.

I've already had £85 and 4 bottles of wine, and it's only Dec 2nd. Should get £250-300 by christmas.

Nearly 50 squidlies today, the earliest tipper for me this year was last Tuesday, £20 for an office.  Total so far £82 and a box of chocolates, and yes you do have to declare it.

Oh don't be silly! It's a gift, not payment for work!

You'd have be an absolute tool to pay it in as a taxable income. ::)

Got a mate who was investigated by the taxman, they made him pay 17% of monthly turnover extra as undeclared christmas tips.  Annoying thing is he had declared them any way.  Declare them or not it's up to you, I doubt you'll go to prison, they'll just guestimate what you would have got tips wise in their favour and tax you on that.
