Me and Robert don't see eye to eye on things LOL, but it would be a shame if he's not on the board anymore.

I spoke with him during the week. Rob is doing fine. An incredibility knowledgeable and informative guy I have never met.  He has other interests/ pursuits at the moment, instead of being glued to a carpet cleaning forum. He will be posting when he feels suitable.

Afraid I'm still around " only just... it seems " according to my Doctor ! Just returned from 1100 mile round trip to Plymouth ( son's Royal Navy march out )

I still read the posts on here but avoid responding ( with some difficulty ) to some.

i think that some do get upset and leave over comments made by others or they just decide to hover in the background without posting. it's very easy when writing replies to posts to say the wrong thing, i have written replies sometimes with the best of intentions and when i've posted it and read it back i've been horrified that it can sound mean spirited or even nasty, i've never meant to offend but sometimes we post in haste and regret what we say afterwards. i think there are very few on here and other boards who go out of their way to upset others, most have there heart in the right place,

Angie only lasted a couple of weeks on here and very rarely looks in.

Colin

All went well as mentioned on other thread.............but I've no intention of repeating that drive. If my GP knew I'd done it I'd probably have my licence taken off me.

It's hellish isn't it? I used to drive to Cumbria from Cornwall and back (930 Mile round trip!) every single weekend before my wife and kids joined me down here a few years ago. I fell asleep whilst driving once and I'm lucky I never killed anyone...

When we travel up there now the wife and I do 2 hours on, 2 hours off.... It's a lot easier!!!!!

Just checked the flights for Southampton / Glasgow .............Flybe return at around £100 per head has a lot more appeal than 9 hours behind the wheel.

I understand we have another two march outs ahead !!!!
