advertising in small local communities shop/post windows or boards?anyone tried any success?and what rate of success if any? i.e how many replies etc?

If it doesn't cost to much any advertising is better than none, but it depends who you are trying to target your business too.

I've got a fair few from shop windows,and as Sherco says it doesn't cost much.I got one customer which was a reasonable earner but then she put me in touch with her sister who needed her 10 bedroom mansion doing.A 50p a week advert led to a £200 a month customer so as with any customers gained you don't know where it may lead.
