Maybe you a little impatient. :)
Have you not thought the majority are out cleaning carpets - Friday is usually a busy day, and add to that this time of year.

Somtimes the search tool will provide the answer if time is important.

I could give you a price but have failed to win last two commercial jobs.

Never Know if it was price or not liking me :-[ :-[ :-[

why do people  think we are just sat waiting to answer questions, same goes fro the people who say 20 people have viewed my question but no one can be bothered to answer, perhaps the 20 people did'nt know the answer ::) ::)

and off them 20 views half will be the person who posted it looking to see if he's made any spelling mistakes ;)

terry as your a window cleaner a quick question, will my cleaner charge me more now he's gone onto WFP?

Did 750 sqyard but the large offices still had workstations in, went in at £1 per sqyd but got paid £1.20 per sqyd.  That was with the Cimex.
Nice.
I do like happy customers  :-* :-* :-*.

I wouldnt have thought he would charge more - the cost of a set up has gone down considerably and he'll be able to clean them in much less time.

;D Thats more like it Thanks guys! ;D  I was on the right lines of cost sort of,
Mike your question of wfp, yes I think you might well be charged a bit more for wfp,as they will clean the frames too! where as Trad wc will have to get a ladder
and hands on the job so to speak :-\ sorry for the speedyness this chappy was putting me under pressure :o He dont even know who he is  dealing with  ;D :D

wfp is a costly bit of gear ::) all tools of our trade all good for one thing or another.

Thanks again peeps  ;D :-* mike part time wc now ;D :o :-*

If it had been straight forward and an empty offices I would have been ok.
As it was it was a secure unit, masses of work stations, 100 in one room, 80 in another, 70 in another.
Going under the footwells and under drawers on one side of the desk was a nightmare.
It took a good couple of days, one day I had to bring the Cimex down the stairs, do a small area so staff could get working when they came in at 8:30, then lug the Cimex back upstairs (oh for the big wheel conversion) so a bit higgly piggly.
I should have used the Cimex for the more open areas and a rotary for the footwells etc.
Then there were some carpeted corridors and 2 kitchen areas with "hard" floors which I used Solutions STS fluid and a black scrub pad from them also. Came up good.

I went in at a £1 cause I not been getting commercial (dont quote for a lot really) so I thought with 750sqyd even if I get a day rate I would be happy, and as I say the boss man increased it by 20% - he could see a good job was being done and he recognised there was some faffing about.

He shouldn't charge more simply because the new tools he has means he can do more windows per day, so although he will have spent out for WFP he will be earning more per day.
By trad I used to find £150/day was a full days work, with WFP £230 was easily achievable.

I think £230 a day is excellent money as you get the same work month in month out no looking for work or waiting for the phone to ring and smaller overheads.

I'm guessing a WFP wouldn't be to benefitial on domestics compared to tradtional.

Shaun

PS looking outside there may be a small problem to slow you down also ;)

The type of carpet would determin what  method of cleaning is used & the price.  Without knowing which carpet type it is all i can suggest is between £1.50 - £2.10 sqm.  If its carpet tiles that will clean with LM then the price of £1.50 sqm but if they require HWE then £2.10 sqm.

Richie.
