Ive been to look at a commercial job today, over 300 sq/mtr.

The entrance reception, corridors and stairs all have black greasy oil contamination from employees taking a short cut to the workshop (its a metal fabrication engineering company) 

The carpet (not tiles) is a blue nylon heavy duty contract carpet I think its known as baltic, it has a thin rubber backing.

A - Have you guys had posiitve results on similar ?

B - What would your approach / products of choice be ?

Hot ultrapak buffed in and hwe turbo dry to avoid any wicking, need to go over areas twice.

Don't expect the traffic lanes to clean up brilliantly.  If the pile is very crushed, it's a sign the carpet is a significant age and therefore problem has been evident for a very long time.  You just can't clean it how you want to and it'll frustrate you!

Don't be tempted by solvent boosters, they'll probably cause more problems than they solve.

You run a porty if i remember right Paul?  Totally do-able but hope you've got an energetic helper if you do all that in one day!  I'd get a good night's sleep beforehand yourself too!

Yes using a powerflite porty, might split job over 2 nights. ( or 3 or 4 or 5 or 6  )

got to disagree with jim. when i do greasy com carpets i mix up some greasebreaker with hot water and pre spray, agitate til it starts to break up the grease then powerburst with some more greasebreaker, agitate then acidic rinse.

corridors with kitchens and trolleys are caked in it.

ps i rinse at 500psi hot, and follow up with a buffer.

greasebreaker and citra boost have no effects on bituman backed carpet tiles, none whatsoever. try it on a spare one, poor some on, leave over night and then rince under tap, nothing nowt, nil

then try it with OJ. aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgggggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

honestly not being pedantic but... rinse unde ra tap is very different from HWE at TM temperatures!!

poor greasebreaker onto a bit back carpet, scrub it in, then use your truckmount at the highest temp to extract it out and it will have no effect on the bituman whatso ever, nil nothing newt. now your just looking for excuses gym.
ive even taken the fibre off a bit back and scrubbed greasebreaker and citrus boost on to the tar and no transfer what so ever. try it then come back and let me gloat.
