Call Out Charges
« on: November 16, 2009, 05:01:45 pm »
Hello to all,

Does anyone charge a call out fee, when doing one off job's?

If so let me know roughly how much and for what types of work.

Thanks.

Kind regards. :) :)

no call out fee, just price accordingly.

"That will £20  for the clean + £10 for a call out fee"
"I just want the windows cleaned ::)"

If one off, charge double what you would charge if recurring

Don't over think it ;)

My one-off price starts at fifty pounds ;)

I would rather use the time building up regular work which will (hopefully) bring in many hundreds per job over the years.

My feeling is that if you have time to do one off“s your round needs expanding

i agree with that, dont have the time for one off time wasting customers anymore, rounds too big for that now.

could be for gutter cleaning :)

i charge extra for turning up to do one off guttering jobs

i do them at minute as i have the time due to not being full yet

but even when round is full if i get the right price i will fit in gutter jobs early/late in the day or at weekend

its all money :)

I would not turn up for less than £30 even just to run up ladder but once there will charge anywhere upto 50 an hour for guttering higher the better as its minging !!

What do you mean by a call out fee ?

Do you mean if someone rings you and says they want their windows cleaning the same day ?

If so i'd do it for a min of £40 for a 2up 2down.... rising depending on the house

Fascias i wont do for less than £50, conservatory roofs £40 if they are the ones without spikes
Only those who risk going too far will truly know how far they can actually go

I have a call out built into my price. So when guys say 1 pound per window I would add up my window rate and for the quote stick om a call out fee of say 3 pound. So if they say they do not want front door cleaned I would take that cost off but not my call our fee as I have arrived. Or if they said they wanted me to came back next week they still paty the 3 pound. It stops them cancelling.Good business question.
