As a newbie, were is the best place for me to get my insurance ?
Ideally, I'd like to pay monthly, but I don't seem to find that offer anywhere? And why does so many sites end up with Simply Business or Polished ?

Before you buy insurance make sure you know what you are buying. Most policies have so many exclusions that its barely worth taking out the policy. My old policy had a £500 excess and excluded any damage or injury caused when working off a ladder. Not much good for a window cleaner but a standard clause in many policies.

Try simply business; they're very cheap; but you get what you pay for.
To be honest, I buy the cheapest insurance and then probably only because I have three jobs which say I have to (at least they wanted to see at the quoting stage; and only one of these jobs have asked for a copy of my renewal; once).
I rarely use ladders, and the worst thing I can see happen is someone trips over my hose or my pole blows off a wall and clonks someone on the head. My cheap insurance would cover me for this; I hope!
